The educational approach to better understand the complex political world

CONTRA "aims to combat the root causes of extremism and radicalization. Founded in Montreal, QC in 2016, CONTRA works through both the media and the classroom in order to teach youths and communities to better understand the complex political world that surrounds them. By providing hands-on training on issues such as xenophobia, Islamophobia, and mediatization, CONTRA hopes to encourage students to think critically about current events, thus promoting an inclusive and welcoming environment to all people."

That's the same educational approach we use in our project "Islam: roots, foundations and violent radicalisations" (see the Italian report here) which aims to share awareness and to strengthen critical thinking on islamophobia, immigration and terrorism for the extra educational offer to secondary schools of the Turin area in Italy.
